Sclerotherapy and Per-cutaneous Lasers (Alexandrite, Nd:YAG and PDL)The physicians at our Center commonly treat leg veins with sclerotherapy. Most small spider veins are best treated with this technique, which is a series of essentially painless injections directly into the unwanted vessels causing them to collapse and ultimately get reabsorbed by the body. A combination approach with lasers may sometimes be used. Asclera® (polidocanol) recently received FDA clearance and we have added this very safe and effective solution to our therapeutic approach.
