Evolence® is now available

Evolence, the most recently FDA-approved filler, is a collagen product which is cross-linked with sugar molecules to allow for longer duration. The results with Evolence are seen immediately, and preliminary data suggests wrinkle correction lasting as long and possible longer lasting than other fillers.

Prevelle Silk is now available

Prevelle Silk, the latest hyaluronic acid product, can be used to improve the appearance of moderate to severe facial folds and wrinkles. This product contains lidocaine to minimize pain associated with injection.

Perlane® is now available

The Laser & Skin Surgery Center of New York ® is pleased to announce that Perlane® is now available for our patients. FDA clearance of this product was received in May 2007. This product is similar to Restylane®, however, it has larger hyaluronic acid gel particles. It is designed to treat areas of the skin where more volume is required than Restylane®. This product can be used alone or in conjunction with Restylane® to help correct surface contour irregularities including wrinkles and folds. Both Restylane® and Perlane® are hydrophilic molecules that degrade over time. The duration of these products vary from patient to patient.

Juvéderm is now available at our Center

Juvéderm is a new hyaluronic acid gel that is injected into facial tissue to smooth wrinkles and folds. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring sugar found in the body, and in the skin delivers nutrients, hydrates the skin by holding in water and acts as a cushioning agent. Juvéderm temporarily adds volume to the skin and lasts about six months.
