Nov. 14, 2018

Congratulations to our very own Mitalee Christman, M.D., as she was the recipient of the 2018 Fredric S. Brandt, MD, Innovations in Aesthetics Fellowship Grant at this years ASDS Members annual meeting held in Phoenix, AZ.
Funded by The Allergan Foundation in memory of cosmetic dermatology pioneer Fredric S Brandt, MD, this fund supports the research and career development of junior cosmetic dermatologic surgeon-scientists focused on cosmetic treatments and patient care.

“Tranexamic acid, a pill usually used for heavy bleeding, is changing the way we treat melasma, supported by a trove of data from Asia. We believe we can make this medication work better by combining it with laser treatments. We want to see if this combination of treatments works better than the pill alone by treating half the face with a laser. Contact us if you’re in Houston or New York and interested in being in our study!”
