Juvederm®Juvederm® is a filler made from hyaluronic acid, a natural sugar which binds to water and gives the skin a natural plumpness. Juvederm Ultra can be used to correct moderate wrinkles on the face and can be used to add fullness to the lips. Juvederm® Ultra Plus is a denser formulation which can be used to improve the appearance of deeper wrinkles. Juvederm® is injected underneath the skin to improve fine lines, hollows and creases. Topical anesthetics may be applied to the treated area prior to injection to minimize discomfort.
Juvederm ®XC contains an anesthetic in the syringe which minimizes discomfort and often allows the procedure to be performed without having to apply a topical anesthetic.
