New Lasers and Devices at The Laser & Skin Surgery Center of New York
We are constantly adding new technology to our state-of-the-art center to offer the most up-to-date technology and services to our patients. We have recently added the LaseMD, V-Beam Prima, and PicoPlus lasers to our list of 100 lasers and related technologies.
Vbeam Prima is the most up-to-date technology that can be used for port wine stain, hemangioma redness, and scars. The larger beam spot size offers faster treatment for larger birthmarks.
PicoPlus is a the new picosecond laser that complements our PicoSure Laser with high energy at two wavelengths of light for tattoos, pigment, birthmarks and skin rejuvenation.
Roy G. Geronemus, M.D., recently traveled to Rome, Italy with the Vascular Birthmarks Foundation to participate in the VBF iTeam international Conference and Clinics.
Founded by Dr. Linda Rozell-Shannon, the conference is open to both physicians and families, and offers free laser treatments, lectures, and support groups.
Conference Recap: 19 patients were seen in the clinic, 11 had laser treatment by me and Dr Stuart Nelson. Patients came from all over the world including Italy, Croatia, England and Malta. Those who had laser treatment were patients with port wine stains with ages ranging from 6 months to 50.
The Laser & Skin Surgery Center of New York is pleased to announce the addition of LaseMD to its practice.
LaseMD is a non-invasive fractional device that is less aggressive than the Fraxel Laser and more aggressive than the Clear & Briliant Laser in terms of downtime and clinical indications consisting of sun damage, aging skin and melasma.
