308 Excimer Laser
The 308 Excimer laser, manufactured by Alma Lasers, is a 308nm wavelength device designed for the intensive monochromatic UVB therapy of vitiligo. We use this laser to treat other skin conditions as well. The laser provides a very targeted dose of UVB, which helps treat skin conditions involving hypopigmentation. While UV cabins expose the entire body to UV radiation, the 308 Excimer laser protects the healthy skin from the negative effects of UVB.

What Does the 308 excimer laser treat?
We use the 308 Excimer laser to treat the following:
Lightening of the skin due to injury, trauma or a previous procedure.
A pigmentation disorder that lightens areas of skin.

When Will I See Results?
In most cases, patients will need a series of treatment sessions to achieve their full results. However, you are likely to see improvement after every appointment.
How Long is the Recovery Time After Treatment?
You should be able to resume your activities immediately following your laser treatment or the next day. Swelling and other side effects are usually mild and temporary. It is critical to protect treated skin from sun damage to prevent possible damage.

Q: Are There Any Side Effects?
A: Side effects from the laser procedure are generally mild and temporary. Patients may experience mild swelling or blistering in the treatment area, which is likely to subside in just a few days. Since the surrounding healthy skin remains untouched, no side effects are seen outside the focalized treatment area.
