Our history
Laser & Skin Surgery Center is one of the most renowned and prestigious dermatology and plastic surgery practices in New York City and beyond. Founded in May of 1993 by Roy Geronemus, MD, Laser & Skin Surgery Center originally opened on the 11th floor of 317 East 34 Street, New York, NY. Over the years, it has expanded to the 9th, 6th, 5th, 3rd, and 2nd floors, accommodating a growing team of fellowship-trained and expert physicians, as well as plastic surgeons, to broaden the scope of services offered.
Throughout our history, we have contributed to groundbreaking advancements in the field, including the introduction of Q-switched lasers, CO2 and Erbium resurfacing lasers, pulsed-dye lasers, KTP lasers, Botox® Cosmetic, Restylane®, Fraxel®, Thermage®, CoolSculpting®, ablative fractional resurfacing, the Vbeam® Perfecta laser, and many more. We continue to pioneer groundbreaking treatments and novel technologies, including the recent advancement of micro-coring.
