Cellulite
Cellulite is a common, harmless skin condition that causes lumpy, dimpling skin on the thighs, hips, buttocks, and abdomen.
Cellulite
Cellulite is a common condition seen mostly in adult women and has multiple causes including genetics and hormones.
One aspect that can be directly addressed with the help of the minimally invasive Cellfina treatment in New York City is the larger dimpling often seen on the buttocks and back and sides of the thighs. These dimples are caused by a pulling down on the skin by tight bands or cords.
The prevalence of cellulite has led to many attempts at treatment, including a variety of topical solutions, massage-based therapies, and surgical techniques with not-so-impressive results. Now, there are proven, medical technologies to help diminish the appearance of cellulite.

What is Avéli?
Avéli is an FDA-cleared, one-time cellulite treatment that reduces cellulite on the buttocks and thighs by manually releasing the septa bands that cause these dimples to form.
As one of Laser & Skin Surgery Center of New York’s latest body contouring treatments, Avéli allows adult women to achieve a smoother, more sculpted silhouette without lengthy downtime.
What is Cellfina™?
Cellfina™ is a minimally invasive procedure that has been clinically proven to significantly reduce the appearance of cellulite on the buttocks and thighs for up to two years. Cellfina™ is the only minimally invasive procedure for cellulite that has been FDA-approved, and Laser & Skin Surgery Center of New York in NYC and Southampton is proud to be one of the first skin care clinics in the world to offer this groundbreaking treatment.
How Does Cellfina™ Work at Our Skin Care Clinic?
A physician at the Laser & Skin Surgery Center of New York® will use the Cellfina™ System to target the fibrous bands under the dimpled areas of skin that cause cellulite. Releasing these bands reduces the appearance of cellulite, with results that last for up to a year.
When Will I See Results?
Within just three days after treatment, patients in the FDA-approved pivotal study reported feeling very well satisfied with their results. At three months, 85 percent of patients were satisfied. After one year, 94 percent reported to be satisfied, surpassing the satisfaction rates for all other cellulite treatments.
What is RESONIC™?
RESONIC is a Rapid Acoustic Pulse (RAP) device developed by Soliton, Inc. that utilizes a unique, rapid pulse of shockwaves to break apart the fibrous septa bands beneath the skin that cause cellulite. This is the only medical device that uses RAP to be FDA-cleared as a non-invasive treatment option for patients seeking a non-surgical approach to improving cellulite’s appearance. Soliton’s RAP device delivers rapid, high-pressure shockwaves at a rate of up to 100 pulses per second to effectively break apart the fibrous septa bands beneath the skin that contribute to dimples in cellulite. Its repetition rate and very short rise times can induce mechanical disruption to targeted tissue at the cellular level, without damaging the skin. The result is the dimples’ release and smoother skin.
What is Thermage?
Thermage® CPT uses radiofrequency energy to smooth, tighten, and contour the skin, temporarily reducing cellulite’s appearance. It works by heating the dermal layers, resulting in collagen creation. The new collagen makes the skin look firmer and tighter, improving overall skin texture.
What is Cellulaze?
Cellulaze is a minimally-invasive treatment that uses a handheld device to break down fibrous tissue and liquefy fat under the skin’s surface to reduce the appearance of cellulite. The procedure also stimulates collagen production to achieve natural, long-lasting results.

Sagging Skin
The skin’s underlying structure degrades over time, leading to skin laxity and sagging skin. Collagen, the essential protein in our skin, begins to decline as early as our 20s, leaving skin without support from within. Restoring collagen helps to restore the skin’s youthful vitality.
Wrinkles
Wrinkles are a common and unwanted sign of aging. As you age, your body produces less collagen, creating saggy and wrinkly looking skin. Our customized strategies to combat wrinkles include laser resurfacing, dermal fillers, and wrinkle relaxers.
Brown age spots
Age spots and brown spots (also known as sunspots, liver spots, and lentigines) are a consequence of aging and sun exposure. The most effective treatment for eliminating these spots and other skin pigmentation is laser therapy, which usually includes little to no downtime after treatment.
