Over time, the relentless effects of gravity can change the appearance of the face and neck over time. A facelift, also known as Rhytidectomy, improves visible signs of aging in the mid and lower face and neck. The surgery removes loose skin and smooths away wrinkles for a more youthful look. It is customizable to the unique needs of each patient for a refreshed, natural appearance.

As we age, gravity and fluctuations in weight can cause our neck to develop excess fat and a looser, less defined jaw-line. A neck lift, sometimes referred to as a mini-facelift or neck contouring, is a long-lasting solution that can help create a youthful, more defined, and attractive jaw-line. The procedure removes loose skin and horizontal banding to create a smoother contour from the jawline to the chest.

Chin implants or chin augmentation is a commonly requested procedure. The chin is an important reference point in relation to the rest of the facial features such as the neck, nose, lips, and forehead. In fact, a chin implant can significantly strengthen facial features, enhance the profile of the face, and create better overall facial harmony. Chin implants come in different shapes and sizes so we can customize your augmentation to your precise facial proportions for a natural result.

The MACS facelift addresses sagging tissues in the neck, cheeks, chin, and around the nose. It uses a short scar technique, with an upward pull, and minimal undermining of skin. The upward pull, as opposed to up and back, is more natural, as it counteracts the effects of gravity. There is less lifting up of the skin compared to traditional lifts.

Eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) removes excess skin, muscle, and fat from the upper and lower eyelids. The procedure corrects drooping upper lids that tend to sag over time. Excess skin and the puffiness seen with the lower eyelids may also be addressed. Surgery might be performed on the upper or lower lids, depending on the needs of the patient. Both lids can also be corrected during the same procedure.

Otoplasty, also known as ear pinning or ear pinback, is done to correct protruding ears. The treatment enhances the position of the ears, to place them closer to the sides of the head. The procedure can be performed on patients of all ages and is one of the few plastic surgery procedures recommended for children.

Breast augmentation is one of the most frequently performed cosmetic surgery procedures in the U.S. The procedure offers women with small or unevenly sized breasts a fuller, firmer, better-proportioned look through the placement of implants. Women may choose breast augmentation for cosmetic or reconstructive purposes. The procedure may be combined with others such as a breast lift for more satisfying results.

Over time, the effects of gravity along with the loss of the skin’s natural elasticity begins to have an effect on the appearance of a woman’s breasts. These factors, combined with pregnancies and nursing will often cause the breasts to lose their youthful shape and firmness. A breast lift, or mastopexy, is a surgical procedure to raise and reshape sagging breasts.
Breast reduction (reduction mammaplasty) removes fat, glandular tissue, and excessive skin, resulting in smaller, lighter, and firmer breasts that are better-shaped in proportion to the rest of the body. For patients suffering symptoms like back and shoulder pain due to their large breasts, this procedure can relieve uncomfortable symptoms and improve the quality of life overall.

Liposuction (also known as “lipoplasty” or “suction lipectomy”) sculpts the body by removing undesirable fat from areas around the thighs, knees, buttocks, waist, hips, abdomen, chin, cheeks, neck and upper arms. Dr. Hoffman is one of the few plastic surgeons who is able to stand the patient up during the procedure to see the effects of gravity. With the patient in the standing position, precise contouring can take place.

Tummy Tuck removes excess fat and skin from the abdomen while tightening the abdominal muscles. The procedure creates a smoother, flatter midsection. Results are apparent once the recovery is complete and can be permanent as long as a healthy weight is maintained. Liposuction is often performed with a tummy tuck to further enhance the results.
