Leonard J. Bernstein, M.D., is a graduate of Northwestern University College of Arts and Science where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry. He received his Medical Degree at Northwestern University School of Medicine.

He completed a dermatology residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital / Northwestern University, where he was a chief resident, followed by a Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Laser fellowship at the Laser and Skin Surgery Center of New York ®. Dr. Bernstein is a Clinical Instructor of Dermatology at New York Hospital/ Cornell Medical Center and holds an appointment in the Department of Plastic Surgery at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Lasers in Medicine and Surgery, and the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology.

Dr. Bernstein is a board-certified dermatologist specializing in dermatologic and laser surgery. He has published and lectured on a national basis in laser and dermatologic surgery and is actively engaged in research and development of new laser technology and therapeutic techniques. Dr. Bernstein has also been recognized as one of Castle Connolly’s Top Doctors since 2004.
