Isolaz Acne Laser
Isolaz® technology from Solta Medical combines vacuum with a broadband light to deliver safe, quick and effective acne treatment. The wavelength varies from 400-1200nm, allowing for full customization of the treatment.
The vacuum helps loosen and extract dirt, blackheads and excess oil from deep within the pores. Then the light helps destroy acne-causing bacteria and reduce facial redness. Great for all skin types, Isolaz® can treat most types of acne. Four to six treatments are typically needed, with most patients seeing a visible improvement in the redness or severity of their acne after the first treatment.
The board-certified physicians at the Laser & Skin Surgery Center of New York have an extensive range of laser devices that allow us to customize all our patient’s treatments to ensure an optimal outcome. We have the experience and expertise to help you meet all your aesthetic goals with comfortable treatments and minimal downtime in most cases. Our team would be happy to meet with you to discuss your concerns and create a personalized treatment plan to keep you looking and feeling your absolute best.
How does the Isolaz Acne Laser Work?
The Isolaz device combines a gentle vacuum with broadband light therapy. The suction removes blackheads and unclogs pores, while the light emitted kills the bacteria that lead to the acne breakouts. The result is skin that is smoother and clearer after the very first treatment. You will see continued improvement with a series of treatment sessions.
When Will I See Results?
You will likely see improvement immediately following your first Isolaz treatment. The results should continue to progress with each subsequent treatment until you achieve smoother, clearer skin.
How Long is the Recovery Time After Treatment?
There is no recovery after an Isolaz treatment. You can return to your regular activities right away. Skin may look slightly red, but that side effect will subside within a matter of hours.

Questions and Answers
Q: Is The Isolaz Acne Laser Safe?
A: Yes. The Isolaz is an FDA-approved acne device that is appropriate for both male and female patients. It is also gentle enough to be effective for teenagers as well as adults. Our board-certified physicians have extensive experience using this device and will use their expertise to customize your treatment so it is as safe and effective as possible.
Q: How Many Treatments Will I Need?
A: Patients usually see the best results after a series of treatment sessions. While the number may fluctuate based on your condition and aesthetic goals, the average tends to be 4-6 treatments to clear skin and prevent future breakouts.
Q: How Long Do Results Last?
A: The duration of your results will vary, but once your treatment series is completed improvements should be long-lasting. The light wavelengths kill the acne-causing bacteria to prevent breakouts in the future. If you notice pimples starting to appear again, you can schedule another treatment to keep them at bay.
Q: Are There Any Side Effects?
A: The Isolaz is a safe and gentle laser treatment that causes almost no side effects. You might notice some mild redness in the treatment area for a few hours, which will subside without intervention.
Q: Am I A Good Candidate For Isolaz Treatments?
A: We recommend the Isolaz acne laser to patients who have breakouts they have not been able to control using topical products. This procedure is appropriate for male and female patients of all ages and with nearly any skin tone.
