Double Chin

Excess fat under the jawline can cause the appearance of a “double chin”.

double chin treatment in new york

Many factors can contribute to excess neck fat and it can be extremely difficult to get rid of. Women specifically suffer from “turkey wattle,” which is excess loose skin under the chin caused by gravity and aging skin.

There are many double chin treatment options available at the Laser & Skin Surgery Center of New York to help reduce double chins.

What are the treatment options?

Most treatments consist of Kybella™ or Liposuction of the Chin and Neck.

How does kybella work?

In the past, the only solutions to fixing double chins were liposuction or plastic surgery. Now, Kybella, an injectable that breaks down the targeted submental fat cells under the chin, can fix your double chin with little to no recovery. It works best on chin fat, not sagging skin due to aging skin.

More about Kybella.

How does Liposculpture work?

Dilute local anesthetic is infiltrated into the fat, loosening the fat cells so they can be gently suctioned out of the body via micro-cannulas. Patients are generally comfortable during the recovery process, which typically takes 3-4 days and are requested to wear a comprehensive band for a week after to maintain healthy blood flow and minimize swelling. Bruising and swelling are usually slight and resolve within 10 to 14 days.

Sagging Skin

The skin’s underlying structure degrades over time, leading to skin laxity and sagging skin. Collagen, the essential protein in our skin, begins to decline as early as our 20s, leaving skin without support from within. Restoring collagen helps to restore the skin’s youthful vitality.

wrinkle and fine lines treatment in new york

Wrinkles

Wrinkles are a common and unwanted sign of aging. As you age, your body produces less collagen, creating saggy and wrinkly looking skin. Our customized strategies to combat wrinkles include laser resurfacing, dermal fillers, and wrinkle relaxers.

Brown age spots

Age spots and brown spots (also known as sunspots, liver spots, and lentigines) are a consequence of aging and sun exposure. The most effective treatment for eliminating these spots and other skin pigmentation is laser therapy, which usually includes little to no downtime after treatment.
