Mohs Surgery Closure
Mohs micrographic surgery is a procedure performed by dermatologists to remove layers of skin cancer. Mohs surgery is a highly detailed & precise technique, where small layers of the skin are removed and immediately examined under a microscope to examine for traces of skin cancer. This process is repeated until the samples indicate that the skin cancer is completely removed. The patient is often left with large, complex defects, which require skilled closure by an experienced dermatologist or plastic surgeon. Both procedures can be completed on the same day. Unique to our office is our over 100 laser and energy devices, enabling us to offer advanced scar revision and healing to complete the process.
In addition to our fellowship-trained dermatologists who are among the most experienced on the East Coast, we have on-staff plastic surgeons, including Dr. Hoffman. Each of our surgeons has extensive training, experience, and expertise in a wide range of plastic surgery procedures that they perform in our New York City office.
