We Predict What the Best Anti-Aging Treatments Will Be In 2023

by | Mar 11, 2024 | Cosmetic Dermatology

Anti-aging procedures have advanced significantly over the past decade and continue to become more convenient and effective with each passing year. At Laser & Skin Surgery Center of New York, we take advantage of these innovations to provide patients with high-quality care. With over 100 lasers at our treatment center, we have the equipment necessary to put our expertise to use.

Board-certified dermatologists and plastic surgeons perform every procedure we offer, so we can ensure our patients receive exceptional treatment. We’re heavily involved in research ourselves, helping to create the next innovative anti-aging treatments that will help patients in the future.

If you’re looking for the newest and best treatments for aging skin, take a look at each skin aging treatment making its debut in 2023.

Skin Rejuvenation without Heat

Ellacor is a brand-new technological advancement that treats moderate to severe wrinkles, skin laxity, and scarring without heat. The device can help skin appear more youthful, tighter, and reduce the appearance of scars.

Ellacor rejuvenates aging skin with a novel technology named “micro-coring”. With hollow needles, this device removes thousands of micro-cores from the skin, allowing it to reduce the appearance of wrinkles with less scarring and downtime than current or conventional methods.

Laser & Skin Surgery Center of New York’s director Roy G. Geronemus, MD, was directly involved in the clinical trials for this new treatment. He personally saw how patients benefited from the procedure and how their improvement increased with every use. This is an anti-wrinkle treatment for the face that requires less healing than many alternative treatments.

Fractional Laser Treatments

Fractional laser treatments revitalize aging skin at a cellular level by stimulating the body’s natural production of collagen and elastin. Collagen and elastin are naturally occurring elements that keep skin tight and responsive. With our variety of fractional laser devices, we can tailor treatment plans to each unique patient and deliver the results they’re looking for.

  • Fraxel lasers treat a wide variety of skin issues related to aging, from age spots to fine lines and wrinkles. We offer a wide selection of Fraxel lasers for our patients so that we can match their needs to the perfect device.
  • LaseMD provides a highly customizable fractional laser treatment that can serve patients with unique skin conditions. By instigating cell turnover, LaseMD can help patients with aging symptoms such as sun damage or uneven skin texture and tone.
  • Clear + Brilliant uses two wavelengths to achieve exceptional results. It effectively treats fine lines and improves the appearance of uneven complexions.
  • Halo is another hybrid laser that treats early signs of aging skin, including sun damage and uneven texture and tone.
  • COMING SOON: AVAVA Miria laser for hypertrophic and atrophic acne scars.

Fractional laser treatments maximize outcomes while reducing downtime as opposed to prior treatment methods.

Combination Treatments

Combining treatments to enhance patient results is going to be an important trend in 2023. Our board-certified dermatologists can create customized treatment plans for each patient, involving treatments that work in harmony with one another. These plans typically include lasers, fillers, Botox®, and Daxxify®.

Laser & Skin Surgery Center of New York actively participated in the clinical trials for Daxxify, an alternative to Botox Cosmetic that lasts twice as long. These injections effectively relax muscle movements, preventing the formation of fine lines and wrinkles.

They pair well with RHA Fillers that treat existing fine lines and wrinkles by plumping them up with natural-looking hyaluronic acid injections.

When combined with laser treatments that target skin laxities, like Sofwave, Genius, or Morpheus8, patients can achieve outstanding aesthetic results.

Gentler Cellulite Treatments (Resonic)

Resonic is a new and innovative cellulite treatment that we predict will increase in popularity throughout 2023. It uses the power of sound waves to gently reduce the appearance of cellulite, offering patients the non-surgical option they’ve been waiting for.

The device penetrates the top layer of skin to get to cellulite fibers, and treats them with a physical vibration using sound waves. It targets the problem by fighting septae while leaving the surrounding tissue untouched, so bruising and long downtimes are a thing of the past. This acoustic shockwave technology is helping patients feel more confident in their skin.
