RHA fillers are an innovative line of dermal fillers that contain resilient hyaluronic acid or RHA. This new formulation allows for treatment in dynamic wrinkles, like those that form on the forehead and around the eyes. Previously only treated with neuromodulators like Botox, RHA fillers effectively fill in these lines while preserving the natural movement of the treatment area. Results can extend for up to 15 months.

Radiesse from Merz can improve the appearance of deeper wrinkles, nasolabial folds, and acne scarring. It is also used to contour the face. Radiesse consists of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) particles suspended in a hyaluronic acid gel. With this unique formulation, results are gradual yet longer-lasting, as the CaHA microspheres form a “scaffold” which stimulates collagen production in and around the treated areas. Over time, the gel carrier is absorbed and replaced by the body’s own collagen.

Sculptra from Galderma is a poly-L-lactic acid injection that can treat more significant volume loss while providing longer-lasting results. It gradually replaces lost collagen (one of the causes of facial aging) and is used to correct shallow-to-deep facial wrinkles and folds. A series of injections performed over several months can help restore a youthful appearance in those experiencing loss of facial fat.
