Sagging Skin
As we age, our skin gradually loses elasticity. Over time, the skin's underlying structure degrades, robbing our skin of its youthful fullness, contour, and resilience. Skin also renews itself more slowly as we age. Other factors include genetics, weight changes, and sun damage. The combination of these factors leads to a sagging appearance of the skin. Fortunately, many treatments are available to improve your appearance and reduce sagging skin.

Dr. Anne Chapas discusses sagging skin in O magazine: "'It's most effective on skin with mild to moderate laxity. If your skin is really sagging, Thermage will do very little, if anything, to improve it. That's why we usually don't use it on patients over 65.'In one study, ten subjects ages 35 to 59 had their thighs treated with Thermage; six months later, about half had thighs that were 0.6 to 1.6 inches slimmer. Chapas has found that while Thermage can improve skin tightness for up to three years, cellulite results last only six to 12 months.
